Dear parents
Once upon a time there was a Reception class and they were busy and busy and very busy. Every school week just flies by and at the end of each week we look back and write down for you what we did during this week with the children, to realize we did a lot.
The new sound this week was: x, for: x-ray, xylophone, box, fox, six. Making X with our hands and feet was really fun. We practiced writing ng with our new friend Geraldine. We watched some videos about the sounds: sh, ch & ng.
Based on our new sound we did some fun art activities: we made an x-ray picture.
An other fun art activity we did was based on a very nice story we listened to, the story was called: A little fish. We made a beautiful and colourful fish.
We also discussed this story, at which we are becoming quite good, we learned new words, we answered some questions, of course all in English.
On Thursday we had an outing to the boulevard. We went on some fun rides and had a snack afterwards. We came back to school tired but very happy.
On May the 22nd we will have a Teddy Bear Picnic. Children are welcome to bring in their Teddy Bears to school from now on.
We would like to remind you to please check your child's agenda every day for letters or up-dates from school or us and hope you feel free to write down your comments or questions when you have any.
